HAVING FUN and ENJOYING the process of writing is so important. Whether you strive to work professionally or write just for the hell of it, remember why you started in the first place. It all comes down to love honestly
So, I set myself a goal on one of my original pieces this year. I want to have a piece through the fonal rounds of editing by June of next year. I have a story premise, story skeleton, and my character basics planned out, and I have plans to make this a trilogy in the long run. I am working on coming up with title ideas at the moment. Might just have to find a placement holder title until I find something that clicks. As is, I'm slightly ahead of the schedule I have planned out, so that's nice.
For anyone that is interested, this piece will contain the following:
- aliens of varying types
- majority lgbtq+ characters
- anime references, particularly of the magical girls genre
- found family
- mental and/or physical disabilities/illnesses, though some of these sti require some research on my part and aren't set in stone as a result
- diverse set of characters styles, races, etc.

Also, forgot to mention before, but there is a gay love triangle that is an actual triangle instead of two people going after the same person.
So, I’m extending my deadline to the end of 2024. First draft is going a little rougher than I’d hoped, so I had to change my daily word count. No big deal, it’s all part of the process.
I want to come home to a familiarity that folds itself into every corner of my body.
A presence warmer than the warmest hug (the kind that wraps all the way around you, squeezing the very air out of your lungs),
A strong but simple energy that balances out my soul (the kind that meets my downs with your ups and let’s me bring my ups to your downs),

I’m telling you, keeping the fandom alive can absolutely bring a cancelled show back.
When Fox cancelled Brooklyn Nine Nine, everyone on twitter constantly made posts about how much they love the show and would do anything to get another season. When NBC saw the support that Brooklyn Nine Nine got, they picked the show back up (in fact, a fan was allowed to play a major character in an episode).
Dead End Paranormal Park can come back. Infinity Train can come back. Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart can come back. Inside Job can come back. Close Enough can come back.
All your favorite shows that were cancelled can still come back. We, the fans, can help. If you have the ability to watch the show legally please do. If you have an idea for a fanfiction, please write it. Showing continuous love and support actually goes a long way.
